✔ NOT ‘PO Boxes’... our boxes are privately owned and theapplication for the box establishes a legal right for us to handle yourmail. If your address incorrectly says ‘PO BOX’ instead of “PMB’ we willnever receive your mail and it’s difficult to correct
✔ They are free... no monthly or annual charge, however there is a $10 fee for lost or additional keys, and as of Sept 1st, 2024 a $10 application fee will apply.
✔ Store clerks CANNOT dispense mail... not only is it a Federal crime to dispense mail across a counter, but it’s very time consuming. Please don’t ask. The box is free, all you have to do is remember your key. If the primary boxholder buys a key and it is in process we can dispense mail when presented with a receipt.
✔ We like packages... whether they be from USPS, Fedex, or UPS we receive and handle dozens of packages a day. They are individually photographed, logged by date and tracking #, and secured in our locked mailbox room. Whoever has the key to your box can bring the package card to the clerk and sign for the package - please be sure your key is secure.
✔ Tracking isn’t everything... we get excited when the alert for a delivered package comes in, too. We also get upset when it isn’t actually there. Sometimes the tracking is based on scans at a warehouse in Cuba, Santa Fe or Albuquerque, which can be a full business day ahead of when we get it. Please be patient if your item isn’t here; but also feel free to ask (nicely) if an item shows delivered and you don’t have a card for it - it’s possible that we missed a step.
✔ 5 days a week... we get deliveries Monday through Friday except on Federal holidays and extremely inclement weather.
✔ Audits are a thing... every now and then we audit our boxes to make sure they are still in use. This is normal and necessary to figure out which boxes we can re-assign. Don’t freak out, we aren’t going to close your box as long as you return the slip we put in that says ‘return this slip’. We also put coupons and other bits in occasionally that are actually important.
